I've had my dirty laundry in a basket for a minute now
I've had my dirty laundry in a basket for a minute now

I stand with my emotions but my body can't stop lying down

I watch the clock, the hands that change, it makes me want to move around

But I keep laying on this couch, inside this house, this empty house.

I keep watching television, 80's laugh tracks on my tv now

I search for feelings full of highs but all I get are deeper downs

I watch the clock, the hands that change, it makes me want to scream and shout

But I keep laying on this couch, inside this house, this empty house.

My thoughts have been repetitive, a little too familiar now

All I need is something new, a brand new place to go search out

But an excuse I've learned to use to keep from getting off this couch-

I've had my dirty laundry in a basket for a minute now.
