An exercise in personification
They sent me into the world
Designed for the buyer
Designed to bring excitement
To stimulate desire

I wanted to know it all
I had a guarantee
How good it would be to feel
Someone inside of me

The man that gave me a home
Was old and had bad breath
So angry and violent
He even threatened death

On me, he'd take his anger
He was a vicious jerk
I grew tired of being hurt
I didn't want to work

The day I opted to quit
He struck a bitter tone
but I refused to give in
I was indeed alone

Today I rust in the weeds
Some say that I look bored
Waiting to appreciate
And have my faith restored
