The morality of life
 BERTRAM BEE FLYING HIGH IN THE SKY,

Â

SPOTTED ONE DAY IN THE FIELD BELOW

Â

THE LARGEST OF FLOWERS EVER TO GROW.

Â

HE BUZZED, TO THE SIGHT WITH A CHEERFUL CRY

Â

A PRIZE FOR HIS QUEEN, HE WAS SURE TO CLAIM.

Â

HONEY GALORE, A GIFT HE WOULD MAKE.

Â

ALL OF THE POLLEN ,HE PLANNED TO TAKE.

Â

BERTRAM WAS DREAMING OF FORTUNE AND FAME.

Â

Â

Â

Â

TO THE BRIGHT RICH BLOOM, BERTRAM FLEW.

Â

HE LANDED WITH EASE, TO GATHER HIS SEEDS.

Â

ON POLLEN SO DEAR, BERTRAM DID FEED.

Â

HE ATE SO MUCH, HIS BELLY SOON GREW.

Â

HIS LEGS AND HIS MOUTH, WERE ALL COVERED TOO.

Â

HE COULD GATHER NO MORE, BERTRAM SOON KNEW.

Â

TOO HEAVY TO FLY, BACK TO HIS BEE HIVE

Â

POOR BERTRAM, HAD LOST ALL OF HIS DRIVE.

Â

Â

Â

Â

IN THE MEADOW, BERTRAM WAILED

Â

"OH MY GOODNESS, WHAT A MESS"

Â

HOW WILL HE MAKE IT TO HIS NEST?

Â

IN HIS MISSION, BERTRAM FAILED

Â

STUCK IN THE FIELD, THE POOR LITTLE BEE.

Â

BERTRAM CRIED ,FOR HIS LOST GLORY;

Â

FOR THE QUEEN WOULD NEVER HEAR HIS STORY

Â

TO HIS FRIENDS, HE SENT A PLEA;

Â

"HELP ME PLEASE, I'M STUCK YOU SEE."

Â

Â

Â

Â

BERRY BOY BEE FLEW FROM FAR AWAY;

Â

TO HEAR THE SAD TALE OF BERTRAM BEE.

Â

HE LISTENED CLOSELY, HE DID INDEED.

Â

WHILE IN THE MEADOW, HIS FRIEND DID LAY;

Â

HE WAS GLAD TO SEE,THAT BERTRAM WAS STUCK.

Â

HE COULD STEAL ALL THE POLLEN, WITH ANY LUCK.

Â

BERRY BOY'S PLAN WAS GREEDY AND MEAN.

Â

HE WOULD MAKE HONEY FOR HIS QUEEN;

Â

AND TAKE THE CREDIT LEAVING BERTRAM BEHIND.

Â

BERRY BOY BEE WAS NOT VERY KIND.

Â

Â

Â

Â

WITH A SMIRK AND A LAUGH, BERRY BOY BRAGGED

Â

TO HIS QUEEN, HE'D GIVE HONEY SO SWEET.

Â

BY HER SIDE, HE WOULD TAKE HIS SEAT.

Â

WHEN BERTRAM HEARD, HIS SPIRITS DRAGGED.

Â

"KING HE'D BE, WOULD BERRY BOY BEE?"

Â

ALL THEIR BEE FRIENDS WOULD KNOW HIS NAME.

Â

BERRY BOY BEE WOULD SEEK HIS FAME;

Â

AND BERTRAM BEE CRIED FOR ALL TO SEE.

Â

"WHAT A SAD DAY, FOR POOR LITTLE ME!"

Â

Â

Â

Â

BERRY BOY BUZZED, TO THE FLOWER NEARBY.

Â

HE GATHERED THE POLLEN WITH ALL HIS MIGHT.

Â

HE GOBBLED IT ALL WITHIN HIS SIGHT.

Â

HE STUMBLED AND MUMBLED, AND LET OUT A SIGH.

Â

HIS POOR LITTLE BELLY BEGAN TO ACHE.

Â

HIS BODY, BEGAN TO QUIVER AND SHAKE.

Â

BERRY BOY BEE WAS SOON TO SEE;

Â

WHAT ALL HIS GREED HAD BROUGHT TO BARE.

Â

THIS BUSY BEE ,COULDN'T FLY ANYWHERE.

Â

Â

Â

Â

BERRY BOY BEE ,FELL HARD TO THE GROUND.

Â

BY BERTRAM'S SIDE, HE LAID AND HE CRIED

Â

"OH BERTRAM MY PAL, I MUST CONFIDE

Â

I AM THE WORST LITTLE BEE, FROM ALL AROUND.

Â

FOR MY GREED, YOU SEE, GOT THE BETTER OF ME."

Â

" I PROMISE, MY FRIEND, TO NEVER BE MEAN;

Â

OF GREED AND GLORY, I WILL NEVER DREAM"

Â

BERRY BOY BEE, SPOKE THIS APOLOGY

Â

Â

Â

Â

BERTRAM BEE, WAS GLAD INDEED;

Â

BERRY BOY BEE ADMITTED HIS CRIME.

Â

THEY COULD NOW BE FRIENDS, FOR ALL OF TIME.

Â

BERTRAM SANG. " FORGIVEN YOU ARE FOR THIS WRONG DEED,

Â

BUT OUR PROBLEMS AHEAD ARE BIGGER INSTEAD."

Â

" FOR OUT OF THIS FIELD, WE MUST FIND A WAY

Â

BACK TO OUR HIVE, ON THIS FINE DAY."

Â

NOW WORRY AND FEAR, FILLED BERTRAM'S HEAD.

Â

Â

Â

Â

TO BERRY BOY BEE, BERTRAM DECLARED

Â

" THE TWO OF US, WE'LL NEED A PLAN;

Â

AS FRIENDS TOGETHER, I'M SURE WE CAN,

Â

FIND A SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM WE'VE SHARED."

Â

BERRY BOY BEE TO BERTRAM ANNOUNCED

Â

"THE ANSWER IS CLEAR FOR ALL TO SEE.

Â

WE'LL FLY TOGETHER, AS FRIENDS SHOULD BE"

Â

SO UP OFF THE GROUND, BERRY BOY BOUNCED.

Â

Â

Â

Â

"SIDE BY SIDE, WE'LL TRAVEL HOME.

Â

WING IN WING, WE'LL SEEK OUR HIVE.

Â

AS A TEAM, WE WILL ARRIVE.

Â

TOGETHER, WE'LL FIND OUR HONEYCOMB."

Â

BERRY BOY BEE ,SHOUTED ALOUD;

Â

"HOLD MY WING, AWAY WE'LL FLY.

Â

WITH ALL OF OUR MIGHT, SHALL WE GIVE IT A TRY?

Â

LET'S MAKE OUR QUEEN, TOGETHER PROUD!"

Â

Â

Â

Â

AWAY THEY FLEW, TOGETHER THIS DAY.

Â

BUDDIES AND PALS, THESE CUTE LITTLE BEES.

Â

"THANK YOU BERTRAM, AND KINDLY PLEASE"

Â

BERRY BOY BEE WAS HEARD TO SAY

Â

"TO OUR FRIENDS, WE'LL TELL OUR TALE.

Â

LET'S TEACH THE LESSONS ,THAT WE'VE LEARNED,

Â

AND SHARE THE CREDIT ,THAT WE'VE EARNED.

Â

BY BEING FRIENDS, WE'LL NEVER FAIL."
