A short poem written out of my frustration.
The Slippery Slope to Failure

Without any power, I watch hopeless.
People around me sick, a grim prognosis.
Matters not the facts I bring to the table.
Many Americans believe in fairytale fables.

Like an emotional and mental tsunami,
the truth has become a slim commodity.
Four years of investigations, diversions,
lies, procrastinations, perversions.

Our strong democracy has its cracks,
people have always repaired laws and acts.
Now we stand shaking our hands,
our government no longer has plans.

The shame should cover our nation.
Mishandling Covid has destroyed our foundation.
America, the country others once flocked to.
Now no one wants our red, white and blue.
