A short existential poetry
When I marvel at the Void
That boundless cosmic song
Must you give me a label?
And ask me where I belong.

If I stand beside an abyss
In awe of a free fall
Shall I deify Gravity?
For reason that I am small.

As I stare into the Sun
Be Prometheus for a while
Why hope to catch me wrong?
With folded hands servile.

Should I step into the tide
The rhythmic fall and surge
Where is there the need?
For a mercurial demiurge.

Dare I gaze within my Self
This elusive silent sound
Who seeks and who is sought?
There’s no “other” to rebound.
