A poem celebrating genuine friendships
I’ll be with you
the sunshine days,
and all the moonshine nights.

I was on you side
the very first date
And for your first real fight.

I have always been
the first one you call
And the last one who would tell.

You endured with me,
you sat beside me
when I was trapped in Hell.

You would hold my hands.
I would paint your toes.
Our golden secrets no one knows...

Can’t replace you
Couldn’t space you
Lord knows I may have tried.

But from that moment
we touched lives
to the times we nearly died,

My truest friend,
my eternal beam
of sacred, wondrous lights,

I’ll be with you
the sunshine days,
and all the moonshine nights.
