under a spectral moon
amid a field of graves
eternal love enslaves
a pair of souls immune
from Death’s enthralling tune
across River Styx’s waves

branches claw at the sky
the Dead watch, lecherous
hollow stares, treacherous
with no voice to decry
the hand upon her thigh
brazen and venturous

he wanted a new wife
and instead he got the knife
