Take a trip down the abandoned highway
The party's over
The moon is gone
The river runs red
My shadow begins to fall.

A step too far
Turned into
A sprint the other way
Retreating to what we know.

Nightfall became dawn
Safety in a robin's song
State into the dying embers
And breathe out the sun.

His eyes like a forest
Smoke stinging the lungs
Take another breath
Welcome to the woodlands.
