An injury to the head and you forget the important details...
I woke up feeling a strange throbbing in my head, Looking around, I found myself inside a plane? Or the remains of it at least. Why was I here? Searching around for something I could find to let me know who or where I am, I stumbled upon what looked like a page from a diary. It could have been from someone I know, so I read it:

‘Jess didn’t listen to me. She never does. Why do we have to fight about the language of Sweden and its origin? She always refuses to believe the possibility of whatever I say. I wonder how she even became an archeologist.’

Wait. I remember that. So I’m Jess, an archeologist?

After reading the note, I saw an amulet tied like a bracelet on my wrist. What is that? I’ve never seen anything like it. I don’t remember anything about it. At least now.

I was thinking about it while making my way out of the plane. The sun shone right through my eyes, that I stumbled on… Sand? I’m in a desert? But why? Is it related to what I do?

Under the wing, there were a few cartons of food and supplies, with another note

‘The radio is broken due to the crash. Jess and I found a cave where the others could stay the night, the next morning they disappeared. The group of people who went to find a village nearby haven’t returned. I need to go now, look for them while Jess stays here, in case they come back. There’s something weird going on here. I can feel it.’

This time the amulet started glowing, transforming into a compass with a needle. I figured it’s telling me to follow it. Maybe to survive.
