Growing up with an Alcoholic Parent.
A cathedral;
I pray.
A vast strangeness.
Meditations;
Poisonous flowers,
Intoxicating fruits.

Flesh among animals,
Self sacrificial.
I erupt!
In terror of my adolescence.
A psychotic trance;
Nightmare of development.

Hallucinogenic visions,
In a forest;
Mind full of mirrors;
Shattered heart;
Ghostly voices;
A fog moves in,
Clouding the images of my self.

Burning;
by remembering,
The despair.

Hiding my child's eyes.
Tears;
They were cold,
Bitterly cold.
Your intoxication-
took my everything.
My everything was you.
