An America in 2024 - what a ride for the horse and donkey - a poem.
|The gift of inspiration
From the highest Heavens
Is now incorrigible, sparse,
And invariably wild.
A righteous chord has been slammed,
Its rawness and emotion in utter contempt.
And the sparkle envelopes victims
In a rueful and dire awakening.
Those epic analyses may dissipate
Into a rebuke;
The privileged and forecasted right
To voice concerns
May fall barren
Amid a moral wasteland.
Poise may condition and coalesce
Into a scrimmage
During a Biden administration’s
Newly-minted, dark path.
And oblivious to pop culture,
Republicans may present
Some legally persuasive realities
To tear away at the rise
Of a disjointed and alarming ideology.
