A Veteran’s Day poem. |
| Bludgeoned by the seeds of mayhem, And consumed by hardships. And equaling the brave men and women Of the armed forces Who came before them. Soldiers and troops Lengthen a patriotic vigor And valor Shown in the annals Of today’s glorious realm. The broad brushstrokes Of freedom Give birth to the resolve Of heroes In every corner of America And the world. Tomorrow’s military Balance a ceaseless code And sacred drive. And the architecture of freedom Shall unite these citizens In a palpable and knowing cause. |
