You squish your companion

You choose the topic, but...

You will write a lipogram poem. A lipogram is a writing that doesn't contain a certain letter or letters. Your poem cannot contain the letter E anywhere (except in this part, which you are to post in your item).

You won to hold on so tight,
You hold on with all your might.
Your thing's withdrawn, to no shock,
Your sparrow wasn't common stock.
Birds fly away, but do say hi
To hands up high with food to try.
So try this way with your companion,
Hold out fruits rather than onion.
