This is probably one of the least known versions of this song. It's kind of ironic, as it is the only Christmas song I ever went out and bought. The B-side was a song sung by Lenny Kravitz, if I remember rightly, which also made the single pretty unique.

I was a Patti Smith fan from the release of her first album, 'Horses', and I guess that prompted me to buy the single more than the song itself. Personally, I'd never dream of a white anything, because living half way up a mountain snow can make getting anywhere difficult. I guess if it has to snow, Christmas Day is the best time for it to do so, just so long as it has gone by December 27th.
