Okay, so I know this is not strictly a song, having no lyrics, but it is a piece of music that for me is very entrenched in Christmas.

School music lessons always seemed to include the original in the lessons throughout December, and I remember watching ‘The Nut-Cracker Suite’ ballet when I was a pre-teen.

What I like about this particular version is not so much the music, but the video that goes with it. There’s the cold and potentially cruel Snow Queen, along with the Sugar Plum Fairy. The one character that might not fit is the one who makes me think of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream, but overall this has a very seasonal feel to me.
