Got a new puppy

We had been looking for a pup
Not sure just what kind
I did not want one that fit in a cup
My son wanted one with great personality!

He came to us just under eight weeks old
His name, Cowboy, we were told
A mix of Lab, Boxer and Pit
Oh my goodness what a mix.

We knew we would have lots of work on our hands
Potty training, walking, and many talks
Yes, good boy, no, don't touch; stop!
Cowboy is learning our demands.

Cowboy is now three months old
Big boy he is, getting bigger and bigger
Growing, learning, testing; becoming more bold
With him getting bigger comes more vigor!

He loves to play tug-a-war
Chew on anything and everything in site
He has his moments where he gets frisky
One might think someone slipped him a whisky!

His coloring is exquisite
Mostly black, some white; touches of brown
His personality is that of a circus clown
I cannot imagine him ever causing me to frown.

Cowboy, Cowboy – oh what a delight
Bringing us much happiness, much joy
You are definitely our delightful boy!
