In honor of ol' blue eyes. Written for the Writer's Cramp 12/13/20 (30 lines)
Don't worry 'bout me,
I'll only miss her
when I think of her, he said.
When your lover has gone,
It's tempting to
put your dreams away
Still, it's nice to go traveling,
Especially with the way
you look tonight
.
Come fly with me,
I'll show you around,
my kind of town.
Somewhere in your heart, you know
Love's been good to me.
I'll drink the wine,
it was a very good year,
Passing time,
To marvelous for words.
I thought about you,
How you'd fly me to the moon,
And, I couldn't sleep a wink last night.
That old devil moon,
Putting polka dots and moonbeams
In my dreams.
It's just one of those things
Happening, somewhere in your heart.
I know the best is yet to come,
And when I get there,
I can say,
I did it my way
