The scene from the window.
Winter Impact

The view outside
a spectacle, strange,special.
I wipe the glass clean-
the azure-white skies ring in
a pictures of palm fringed-
beaches of the Caribbean.
The road, clear, narrow
persuades the passerby
" come,explore what lay ahead."
The gnarled trunks,
the willowy branches
reflections in the slanting
rays of a pale, dull,lazy,
reluctant mid-day sun,
inspire thoughts of old age
lived in comfort, in peace.
The sedate surrounds show
a vista of reposing beauty
of nature to the viewer
ensconced in the warm interior
of a home filled with a feel-good
atmosphere; winter’s comforts
not ostentatious, nor flaunted.
Its silence heard, its scenario
loved by few and far between.
