Words often forgotten
|You manage me
And I say “Yes I can do that.”
You say “I know you’re busy but...”
And I cringe inwardly but don’t complain.
I say here’s what you asked for,
And you say thank you.
I don’t need constant praise but
a quick moment of acknowledgment does
do wonders for the soul.
Thank you for thanking me.
