Humorous poem about losing weight.
The doctor says I gotta lose some weight.
I am going off to test my fate.
Counting calories, working out, eating healthy,
Making meal plans, stepping on scales; I am not wealthy.
For lunch eating my salad as good as can be.
Wait! Is that a donut? Have mercy on me!
Going through my cabinets, throwing out that unhealthy snack.
Plenty of temptations, of them, there seems to be no lack.
Off to the grocery store oh so cheerfully!
I’m going to stick to my list so very carefully.
Oh no! They are having a sale. Of course they would!
Everything looks so good, but I’m sticking to my list just like I should.
Walking up and down the aisles reading all the labels.
Nutrition facts, serving size; should that go on my table?
Oh the samples! Surely one little bite won’t hurt!
No! I’ll exercise some more so I can fit that smaller shirt!
Stepping on those scales again; That went “well”.
Will I ever shed those annoying pounds? Only time will surely tell!
