A recap of last night's Vancouver/Toronto game.
For the second straight time this week, the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Vancouver Canucks.

Leaf's Auston Matthews and Wayne Simmonds had a pair of goals in a 5-1 win last night.

"I think we've put together two good games here," said Leaf's head coach, Sheldon Keefe at the postgame press conference.

Keefe also said that the team established their game last night.

Simmonds scored at 4:42 of the first period on the power play.

Matthews scored his ninth goal of the season at 14:04

Toronto's Zach Hyman scored the lone goal of the second period at 7:36.

Just 1:28 into the third period, Matthews scored again to put his team ahead 4-0.

Simmonds scored his second goal of the game at 3:16.

Vancouver's Brock Boeser broke the shut out by scoring at 17:56.

Toronto's Mitch Marner had three assists last night.

Keefe said in the conference last night that he is really impressed with his team's penalty kill.

"(The) penalty kill has consistently been good for us," said Keefe.

Vancouver's goaltending and defence has been weak recently.

Toronto did dominate offensively in the past two games.

Toronto tries to sweep the three game home series with the Canucks tomorrow night.
