The Leafs defeated the Montreal Canadiens 4-2 last night, despite being out shot 35-24.
"I think we played a fine game," said Leaf's head coach, Sheldon Keefe at the postgame press conference.
Montreal opened the scoring just 1:16 into the game with a goal by Josh Anderson.
Travis Dermott tied the game at 15:18 of the second period.
Justin Holl put the Leafs ahead 2-1 just1:05 into the third period.
At 2:32, Ilya Mikheyev scored to put Toronto ahead 3-1.
Tomas Tatar closed the gap at 3-2 at 16:40.
Zach Hyman cemented the win with an empty netter at 18:56.
Toronto's Jake Muzzin had three assists.
Leaf's goalie, Frederik Andersen stopped 33 shots last night.
"Fred, (Andersen) was solid for us," said Keefe.
Toronto has two days off before hosting Montreal on Saturday night.
