A recap of last night's Ottawa/Toronto game.
It was close, but the Toronto Maple Leafs got the job done last night as the team edged the Ottawa Senators 2-1.

The Leafs started out mediocre in the first period.

"Obviously our start wasn't a good one," said Leaf's head coach, Sheldon Keefe, at the postgame press conference. "Ottawa was the better team."

There was no scoring in the first.

Ottawa outshot Toronto in the first period 10-5.

Toronto played better in the second period.

Auston Matthews put the Leafs ahead 1-0 at 4:41 of the second period with his 13th goal of the season.

Brady Tkachuk tied the game at 18:51.

Alex Kerfoot scored the winning goal for Toronto at 10:46 of the third period on a bad angle.

Toronto outshot Ottawa in the third 10-6

Toronto's Jake Muzzin had two assists last night.

Toronto wraps up their three game series against Ottawa tonight.
