|Despite not having Auston Matthews in the lineup, the Toronto Maple Leafs managed to shut out the Edmonton Oilers last night 4-0.
Leaf's head coach, Sheldon Keefe credits good goaltending and the special teams to the Leaf's victory.
"Some really good things for us," said Keefe at the postgame press conference. "A real good win for us."
There was some more good news for the Leafs.
Backup goalie, Jack Campbell was back from injury.
Campbell stopped 30 shots last night and got his third career shut out.
"He, (Campbell), looked extremely confident," said Keefe. "He was real solid for us.
William Nylander opened the scoring at 14:37 of the first period.
Mitch Marner put the Leafs ahead 2-0 at 15:50.
At 11:15 of the second period, Jason Spezza scored.
Zach Hyman scored the Leaf's fourth goal at 13:34 of the third period.
Leaf's Captain, John Tavares had two assists last night.
The Leafs play Edmonton again tomorrow night.
