An article/column about the new contract signed by Dak Prescott
|It is finally done.
Quarterback, Dak Prescott finally agreed to a new four-year, $160 million contract with the Dallas Cowboys this week, however, is he worth it?
That's a good question.
I have a hard time deciding whether Prescott deserves a contract such as this.
During the five seasons with the Cowboys, Prescott won the Rookie Of The Year, (2016), is a two time Pro Bowler, and has a 42-27 record.
That's enough to say yes. Prescott has earned this huge contract.
Here's the problem I have with the contract.
Prescott hardly played at all last year.
First, he held out for a new contract and then he got injured in week five.
Prescott injured his ankle against the New York Giants and was sidelined for the rest of the year.
The question I have: Is Prescott going to play as a Pro Bowler next year?
He has great amount of pressure on him now.
There is no room for failure.
Remember what happened Carson Wentz after he signed a huge contract with the Philadelphia Eagles.
That guy is now with the Indianapolis Colts.
