There were several years
In my life
That I lost my way
Lost my mind
Lost time

Lost time once lost
Can never be recovered
Lost years
Never come back

Now I know
Every moment
Every time I have
Is precious

As I wind up
Nearing the end
Of my mortal time

I often think back
On my past life
Trying to recall
What I had done

And yet
My memories fade
And I can not recall
Everything that happened

Particularly during those lost years
Of my distant past
Fading away into nothing
But vague memories
