April: National Poetry Writing Month

April is the month to write
ballads of daily life,
sonnets of gratitude,
or odes of hope and praise..

Faith makes poetry a spiritual experience,
reverberates through all religions,
is the quintessence the sacred scriptures,
and opens the door to eternal life,

Poetry reveals humanity's duality
by expressing both its material
and spiritual natures;
it is prayer carried into action.

Poetry and faith are helpmates
and were revealed
by each of God's messengers,
who inscribed them in their books..

April is the month to celebrate
these gifts of the Holy Spirit,
open the book of a religion
and let it verses inspire.
