The one sense which we must have, but do we have it?
Ever since I was a child
there are 5 senses people said -
touch, hearing, smell, taste, sight.
You just had to get them right.
If per chance, you're poor at some,
there are aides galore to overcome.

What no one tells you as a kid
of the sense, that if missed, God forbid!
can turn your life upside down
when you try finding your way around.
You end up feeling lost and dense
if you, poor thing, lack common sense.

But then, we all have a lack of that,
else we'd do it right, straight off the bat.
Plant more trees, fight less wars,
teach our hearts to open their doors.
Money and power wouldn't hold us hostage
if common sense wasn't in such shortage.
