|A struggling bullpen in the seventh inning last night hampered the Toronto Blue Jays as the team lost 5-1 against the Philadelphia Phillies.
There was no scoring until the bottom of the sixth inning when Vladmir Guerrero Jr. hit a solo home run.
Unfortunately for the Jays, things fell apart at the top of the seventh inning.
The Phillies scored five unanswered runs in the seventh.
First, the Jays walked in a run.
Then, Rhys Hoskins hit a three run double.
Finally, Alec Bohn drove in Hoskins with a a double.
Hoskins went three for five at the plate and had three RBIs.
Phillies's starting pitcher, Vince Velasquez went 5.2 innings, allowing there hits, an earned run, three walks and struck out seven batters.
Toronto's Lourdes Gurriel Jr. went two for four at the plate.
Jay's starting pitcher, Steven Matz went five innings allowing four hits, no earned runs, three walks, and struck out nine batters.
