I never wanted these ghosts.



unholy ghosts ride in
silently in stealth
quietly wavering
in zealous untruths

and the children
in their innocence
see sorrow
dwell in their
mothers' eyes

but they put their
faces in the dishes
and pretend
to see nothing

so the children follow suit
