|The six game losing is over as the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the New York Yankees 6-2 at Yankee's Stadium last night.
The Jays went ahead 2-0 at the top of the third inning when Vladmir Guerrero Jr. hit a two run homer.
At the top of the fourth inning, Lourdes Gurriel Jr. hit a solo home run.
At the top of the seventh inning, Randal Grichuk and Rowdy Tellez scored on an error.
In the bottom of the seventh, Kyle Higasioka drove in Clint Frazier with a single.
At the top of the ninth inning, Grichuk hit a solo home run.
In the bottom of the ninth, Higasioka drove in Rougned Ordor with a double, but that's all.
Guerrero Jr. went two for four at the plate and had two RBIs.
Jay's manager, Charlie Montoyo said at the postgame press conference that he is impressed on how Vladdy has been hitting lately.
"He's, (Guerrero Jr.), been great," said Montoyo.
Jay's starting pitcher, Steven Matz went 6.2 innings, an earned run, no walks, and struck out 10 batters.
Higasioka went two for four and had a RBI.
Yankee's starting pitcher, Corey Kluber went three innings, allowing two hits, two earned runs, three earned runs, and struck out five batters.
