A Keats Sonnet in iambic pentameter - Rhyme is ABCDBDCA BCDEDE
Here we sit down, with a meal prepared
Silence falls softly on the world today,
May you rest in peace my dearest friend
We celebrate a life fully shared,
But in death, a better life we portray
We sit quietly, thinking how it’s been
We were best friends until the bitter end
Life for us has ended, I declared.

Food and wine fill the tables and we pray
And, how I wish your life we could extend
Getting us nowhere, sorrow is within
Draw some comfort from food is all we do
In our heart we know a new life begin
We see it all again, like déjà vu.
