A recap of last night's Miami/Toronto Game Two
|A game ending sacrifice fly helped the Toronto Blue Jays defeat the Miami Marlins 6-5 last night and sweep the two game mini series.
At the postgame press conference, Jay's manager, Charlie Montoyo said the game was awesome. "Great, great game." he said.
Miami got on the scoreboard first at the top of the second inning when Corey Dickerson hit a solo home run.
In the bottom of the second, Randal Grichuk tied the game with a solo home run.
The Marlins went ahead 3-1 at the top of the third inning when Jazz Chisholm Jr. hit a two run homer.
Then, Jesus Aguliar hit a solo home run.
At the bottom of the fourth inning, Grichuk hit another solo home run.
At the top of the seventh inning, Starling Marte hit a solo home run.
In the bottom of the seventh, Marcus Semien scored on an error.
In the bottom of the ninth inning, Bo Bichette tied the game with a two run triple.
Then, Vladmir Guerrero Jr. scored on a sacrifice fly by Joe Panik to win the game for the Blue Jays.
Grichuk went two for five at the plate and had two RBIs.
Jay's starting pitcher, Alek Monoah didn't have the outing on the mound that he had the last time he pitched.
Monoah went just 3.1 innings, allowing four hits, four earned runs, three walks, and struck out five batters.
Dickerson went two for four at the plate and had a RBI.
Marlin's starting pitcher, Pablo Lopez Jr. went four innings, allowing five hits, two earned runs, a walk, and struck out nine batters.
The Jays are off today. The team kick off a three game series against the Houston Astros tomorrow night.
