Dishonesty

trust in life dissolved by dishonesty

In the springtime of my innocence
I fell in love with an ideal,
had standards of the perfect soul mate,
and I approached life with zeal.

I later became disillusioned
by a dalliance between friends.
Corroding anger led to distrust
and all my dreams came to an end.
