A poem about a fantasy place for our special furry friends.
"The Calico Cat Cafe"
Perched neath' a catnip tree,
Felines know it’s the place to be.
Hidden from human prying eyes,
beneath clouds of salmon skies.
Close by, a pond full of delights,
“What’s your pleasure? It’ll sure bite”.
Served with fresh mouse pate’.
The cafe is full most every day.
Ginger with her perfect white paws,
tickles ivories playing faves for applause.
Her low sexy meow steals hearts.
Sloopy’s in love, laps a martini lime tart.
Mr. Whiskers runs a tight ship.
Each fresh dish brings fat filet tips.
A wise owner of many strange humans,
he knows treats worth consuming.
Looking abut his classy cat club.
Proudly, he is quick to judge.
Rich velvet scratch posts look cool.
Nearby, a pearl lined koi filled play pool.
The piece de resistance hidden in back,
reservations required far in advance.
Each cubby is lined in fine silken fur.
Specials await for those who prefer.
No matter the customer’s breed.
Color, quality of coat, there’s a need.
Social occasions, love, relaxation.
All depart his cafe, five star satisfaction.
