The Washington Nationals snapped their seven game losing streak last night, hammering the Toronto Blue Jays 12-8.

Jay's starting pitcher, Alek Monoah had a rough night on the mound, allowing six hits and six earned runs in just three innings pitched.

National's Riley Adams had three hits, including, a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth inning and drove in three runs.

Adam's teammate, Yadiel Hernandez also drove in three runs last night.

National's starting pitcher, Erick Fedde won his first game in two months.

Fedde pitched five innings, allowing just three earned runs.

Before last night's win, Fedde was 0-4 in his last 10 starts.

Toronto's Teoscar Hernandez hit a two run homer at the top of the fifth inning.

It was the third straight game that Teoscar Hernandez had homered

There was some bad news for the Blue Jays before the game.

It seems George Springer's injury was more serious than first thought.

Springer was placed on the 10-day injured list with left knee sprain.

The Jays conclude their mini series with the nationals later this afternoon.
