A song about taking other’s burdens into yourself.
Some Like It Evil

Send me your sin
Write it on the page
Are you really that deep in
Is this all just a phase
Write down your ugly
Show off your sweet
Walk away from the middle
That ain’t where you want to meet

It’s down, down, all down

Call yourself a doctor
Without a soul to heal
Make yourself the preacher
Without faith to feel
Build yourself an empire
On the strongest backs you’ve found
Keep it clean, keep it pretty
As long as you don’t look around

Some like it evil
Sad, strange and wrong
Build them a temple
Sing them a song
Some like it twisted
All knotted and curled
How many bodies would you use to rebuild the world?

Build yourself a servant
Call them your closest friend
Tell them no secrets
Except how you think this’ll end
With one fist full of money
One fist made of iron
Leaves the mind blinded on the roadside
Leaves the soul feeling so tired

Send me your sin
Write it on the page
Are you really that deep in
Is this all just a phase
Write down your ugly
Show off your sweet
Walk away from the middle
That ain’t where you want to meet

How many bodies would you use to rebuild the world?
