#67 from the pendulum

Lungs inhale screams
Before they make a sound.
Night time prayers are breathed
Before they are whispered.
Names are fountains of smoke
Swirled in the wind.
Wondering strays decisions
Through time
Silent jogs of thought
Down overgrown trails
That circle back to the beginning.
Tide shores coastal highs and lows
On salty ocean breezes.
Distant night's tinseled skyline
Horizoned down to cinematic housing,
Sepia streams of other people's lives.
Nestled in pockets of color,
We hive where the air is free
To breathe, to live, to die.
