Poem dedicated to the memory of my late twin sister, no longer bound to a wheelchair.
For so many years
You were held down
Trapped and isolated
Wearing a frown

Now you can walk
You can run and fly
You can jump and play
You can touch the sky

No more sorrow
No more pain
No more loneliness
Those were your bane

Now you are free
Like never before
Up there in Heaven
On that beautiful shore

So run and jump
Go dance and play
Give out hugs
And enjoy your day

My sister, my twin
The other part of me
Up there in Heaven
Fly, free, fly free
