The Quality of Life
When memory fades, just a little bit,
what is the number of days I have left?
Will it be ten or maybe one thousand,
before that stealer sneaks into my mind,
and plucks away what I have stored inside.
Those countless days of memories so dear!
Begone stealer; for not one day will you
darken my sunshine or keep my future
hostage to something that may diminish
the quality of life I have right now.
