A big mountain in a big state

Granite Peak, Montana

Granite Peak
Rears her head
Above Montana’s mountains
Night and day.
Icy winds blow down her sides,
To steal your breath
Even in the summer’s sun.

Peaks make me shiver
Even in the summer’s sun,
Above Montana’s mountains
Keeping their eyes on me.

My eyes wander to Granite
Over in wild country
Night and day.
To steal your breath
Above Montana’s mountains
None come near Granite Peak,
Above Montana’s mountains.
