My poem about today's autumn morning
An Autumn Morning

My hands are sluggish today
It's an autumn morning
My puppies are clamoring for attention
They settle at my feet waiting for the time
I will feed them

There's a distant hum of a lawn mower
And earlier, the siren of the city
saying it's eleven a.m.
On the First Saturday of the month

It's like that in our house
The peace reigns in our house
But under all that
Thoughts are teeming
To make me feel
Anxious and nervous

This Autumn morning
Before thoughts go into
a Morpheus slumber
and bother me no more

I'm gratefu to My God
for this Autumn morning
It will be good
To spend the day
Thanking God My God

God I ask You
