When Genie learned of his imprisonment, he taught these men a lesson.
Men tried to imprison me, my magical power they did fear,
But I tricked them and sent them back to another time of year.

Once impish, their double-crossing ways turned me devious instead,
Using magic, I decided to cause trouble so shock and panic will spread.

The horror of it all, did the devil take a hold of me?
I stole all the gold around the world and threw it into the sea!

I became Robin Hood, stole from the rich, and gave to the poor,
That deed made me feel better; in my eyes, it wiped out the other score.

I decided to free animals in cages, and let them roam free,
Watch out, this may bring chaos, but then, who made me honoree?

You tried to lock me up, but now I’m free to do what I need to do,
Let the sun switch places with the moon, make the world askew.

That will teach the evil doers that they better not mess with me,
I felt I made my point. Will they let me be footloose and fancy-free?

If not, there is much more that I can do, I’ll make it rain all day,
And let it snow all night or create a blizzard and let it replay.

I can keep going, gobs of ideas are buzzing around in my head,
But really! Do you want to get up on the wrong side of the bed?
