Nine Fruits of the Spirit

Nine divine fruits
consumed
by the lovers of
God
feed the spirit of faith,
as it grows in the womb of their souls.
Count them
as you pick them from the
Tree of Life: love, joy,
peace, forbearance, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
Savor the aroma and taste of each one.
The flavors of honey, spice, manna, and rose water
combine to sate the soul's hunger and
quench its thirst in both this world and the
world to come.
