You’re irresistible

Crave

I have a confession
It’s too much to bear
You’ve become an obsession
to my lungs you are air.

You hijack my thoughts
each day upon waking
And take over my body
which is constantly aching.

In my hands you are clay
for my fingers to mold
At once strong yet delicate
far too precious to hold.

In your eyes I’m a stranger
one you’d still like to know
But I represent danger
down a road we can’t go.

So for now you’ll stay buried
deep in my heart’s cave
To be visited daily
Or when it’s you that I crave.
