Daring you, tempting you, to take the hints I’m throwing
I hope you care, but a part of me still hopes you don’t
Left wondering what you meant, what you’ve been showing
Each message & move a sign of something more unknown
Most of it must be in my head, I might just keep it unsaid
Maybe you don’t even notice it’s happening all the time
Always just me, caught between the meanings of your words
