| Balancing Act 39 lines I like to take a walk In the world peace forest Behind my house In Incheon new town Near the airport. The trail winds around the town Linking two ponds One just a watering hole for traveling birds The other a lotus flower pond. Five miles round trip Including a small mountain At one end. The forest is lined With cherry trees And other flowering trees. And in the fall Magnificent symphony Of colors. Before the gray of winter Lays down the cold And occasional snow. There are animals along the way Feral cats mostly But I have seen a fox And the elusive shy deer. And heard but did not see The oinking of a pig Taking a bath. And I saw a dead badger And there are raccoon dogs But I have not seen them. In the end Communing with nature I find a sense of balance So within and within out Everything balancing out In the end . |
