A dog inspires this limerick for children. |
| Floppy-eared, tail-wagging mutt Gus of his size seems oblivious. Climbs onto my lap to drool, snore and nap. My shaggy blanket humongous. Long-tongued, slobbery, wet mutt Gus smiled with a grin most ominous. He shook his great hide, cocked a leg and sighed. as I choked in his gas thund'rous. Wide-eyed, trembling, whimp'ring mutt Gus awakes to a noise suspicious. I am urged to rise while he stays and hides safe from shadows dark and vicious. Nose-twitching foodie is mutt Gus, smells and tastes entice, fabulous. A gurgle growl roars from Gus on all fours. Grabs my snack, proves he's ravenous. ( 20 lines )(104 words) |
