I write this about what I see as being written in the stars
My tiny tent sits silent beneath

a speckled sky above

And though you are not here or near

our stories are entwined

Joined by common eyes that glint at us

In cathedrals of a milky way

In the tufty reeds of our hilly hillsides

We have gazed at these shimmering, little lights

Little lights that are not our own

These winking eyes that came before us

sharing a wave of their light.

While we wish on them,

they wish on us,

These Dusty Space Cousins,

Whose twinkles look on with envy

at how bright we shine,

with our funny little legs,

and our funny little ears

They shine bright to remind us,

We are made of stardust too
