For the Lighthouse Poetry Contest: Resurrection |
| Despite a love greater than any e're imagined Christ was tried by a capricious crowd and crucified; behind the limestone tomb blocked by a boulder he slept a solemn dreamless savior's rest inside of something more than death - his resurrection guaranteed by God. So when his body bore rebirth; the women knew pure fear and trembling joy, so heard his gentle, soft assurances as balm: Be not afraid, I am the morning light, the evening truth, the way. My resurrection is the song that saved the world and by the Sea of Galilee his soft goodbye resounding echoes now, as then, with promises of sweet reunion. note ▶︎ |
